Prospects for the development of special economic zones in the Volga region were discussed at the meeting in Ulyanovsk.

Meeting on the functioning and development of special economic zones was held in Ulyanovsk on the initiative of the Volga Customs Administration. The representatives discussed the issues of customs regulation in the Special Economic Zone and free customs zone for the residents.

General Director of SEZ Togliatti Alexey Pakhomenko shared the experience with other representatives and said that customs infrastructure in Togliatti is currently at the design stage.

Total area of the customs zone in the SEZ Togliatti is planned to be more than 13.5 hectares. The amount of investment in the construction of the customs infrastructure will be about 700 million RuR.
