The Association of Clusters and Technoparks of Russia published the V National Rating of Technoparks of the country. It listed the fastest-developing and most effective innovative venues. In total, 169 technoparks from 22 regions of Russia were included in the rating.

The Zhiguli Valley technopark entered top 3 by the indicator "The highest level of efficiency of the technopark functioning." The technopark took the third place with a figure of more than 110%. The second place was taken by the technopark in the sphere of high technologies in Mordovia. The rating was headed by the nanotechnological center TechnoSpark from Moscow.Experts believe: the Zhiguli Valley succeeded because of high investment attractiveness of the site and effective activity of the resident. For example, in 2019 residents of the technopark registered 20% more results of intellectual activity than in 2018. The highest financial stability was achieved due to the fact that the managing company of the technopark has no debt burden.

The authors of the rating emphasize: the main task is to determine the most effective management companies of technoparks, infrastructure-built sites for placement and development of high-tech companies. The rating was based on 5 groups of indicators:

• innovative activity of residents of the technopark;

• economic activity of residents of the technopark;

• efficiency of the technopark management company;

• investment attractiveness of the technopark;

• information transparency of the technopark;

• contribution to sustainable development.

The data for the rating were provided by the managing companies of technoparks and executive bodies of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The expert community of the Association of Clusters and Technoparks of Russia confirmed the provided indicators.

The Zhiguli Valley technopark is one of the largest technoparks in the sphere of high technologies in Russia.

The technopark is a regional operator of the Skolkovo Foundation, as well as a regional representative of the Innovation Promotion Fund. According to the first quarter of 2020, the residents of the technopark are more than 240 companies implementing projects in such priority areas as energy efficiency, energy saving, transport, chemistry, biotechnology, medicine, IT-technologies, etc.
