The official delegation of the city of Togliatti visited the sister-city of Nagykanizsa (Hungary)

September 12-16, 2019, in accordance with cooperation plans the official delegation of the city of Togliatti visited the sister-city of Nagykanizsa. As part of the visit, an official meeting with the heads of the city of Nagykanizsa was held at the City Hall of Nagykanizsa. The mayor of the city told about the achievements of the city and the importance of friendly relations between the cities, which have been supported for over 22 years.

The heads of the sister-cities reaffirmed the importance of establishing both humanitarian and economic contacts. In accordance with these goals, the delegation of Togliatti visited the production sites of the Tungsram and Hidrofilt companies in Nagykanizsa and met with the management of the enterprises in order to discuss opportunities for cooperation and present advantages for the investors in Togliatti and the PDA Togliatti.

On September 14, a delegation of the city of Togliatti, accompanied by representatives of the City Hall of Nagykanizsa, visited a Memorial cemetery where soldiers and officers of the Red Army are buried.As a traditional event the delegation laid a wreath at the memorial to honor the memory of Soviet soldiers.

At the invitation of the principal of the Lajos Batthyany Gymnasium, Mr. Laszlo Balogh, the delegation of Togliatti visited the school, where a meeting was held with the teachers and schoolchildren who study Russian. Mr. Laszlo Balogh introduced the participants of the Localfriend International Youth Project from the city of Nadkanizha and thanked the Head of the city o Togliatti for inviting the youth delegation of 5 schoolchildren and Russian language teacher Ms. Eva Rak to participate in the First Youth Conference in Togliatti from 21 to 25 September 2019
