World Tourism Day 2014 in Togliatti

On 24-29 September 2014, the city of Togliatti celebrates World Tourism Day. For this reason there is a series of special events to be held in the city for the journalists, tour operators, and other professionals working in tourism industry.

This year the Tourism Day opening ceremony takes place on Wednesday, September 24, at the Volga Region State University of Service. After the ceremony there will be the II International Scientific and Practical Conference on Domestic tourism as a factor of development of Samara Region. The conference will bring together the most experienced experts in the field of tourism from Moscow, Samara, Zhigulyovsk, Syzran, Togliatti and other cities.

On September 27, 2014, major tourism organizations will present their projects and interactive sites dedicated to community development and tourism industry of Togliatti. The essential part of the Tourism Day events list is a three-day tour for representatives of the tourism industry and the media from Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Penza, Izhevsk, and Yoshkar-Ola. Such kind of tour will provide Russian and foreign guests with the information about the cultural and historical legacy of the ancient Stavropol as well as about modern tourist infrastructure and attractions of the city Togliatti.
