Delegation of Germany attended the Forum “Togliatti – the city of the future”

Within December 5-7, 2012, the plenipotentiary representative of the German Embassy in Russia, responsible for the Samara region, Mrs. A.K. Linke visited Togliatti, to attend the Forum Togliatti the city of the future. This was the first visit of Mrs. Linke to Samara region in this new position. The Embassy representative took part in the Forums first day work, addressing the event attendees with a greeting, and later had a meeting with A. Kobenko, the first deputy of the chairman of Samara regional Government, as well as with the mayor of Togliatti, Mr. S. Andreev. Mrs. Linke received detailed information on the way of economic development of Samara region and Togliatti, the cooperation of the region and the city with Germany, and the nearest plans of bilateral cooperation. The meeting with the minister of education of Samara region, Mr. V. Klassen, and the head of department of education T. Lesnyakova, was at least as much interesting. The parties shared plans on wider support to the German language in the secondary schools of the region and the city, and agreed on the possibilities of professional upgrade for the German language teachers.

Mrs. Linke also got familiarized with work of the local Lutheran community, the Center of the German language, visited the facilities of Otto Bock LLC and Anvis Group LLC, as well as visited the sited assigned for the implementation of German village project.
