Expanded meeting of the working groups on the development of Togliatti domestic tourism

On Thursday, January 28, themeeting of the working groups on the issues of development of domestic tourism in the territory of Togliatti was heldat the Assembly Hall of the City Hall. The event was attended by representatives of the City Hall and the Duma of Togliatti, as well as tour operators, representatives of the tourism business community.

Natalia Khrist, Headof the Department of International and Interregional Relations,was the moderator of the meeting. Members of the working groups discussed the issues of domestic tourismdevelopment in the city, and announced the plans for the first half of 2016.

In 2015, Togliatti was represented in thefollowing All-Russianawards: Russian Event Awards, The Route of the Year, and Tourist Souvenir.During the year, the city held a variety of cultural and sporting events: International music festival "Classics over Volga", the First Winter festival of Outdoor Activities "Zhigulevskoe More - 2015", Non-stop 100-h Sled Dog Expedition "Silver of North" and more.
In addition, the Tourism Development Sector of Togliatti held the following events:

1.The First International Tourism Exhibition-Forum "TravelExpo 2015". The event was attended by more than 4,000 people.

2. The ROSMORRECHFLOT Meeting on schedules for passenger ships, development of river cruises on the territory of Togliatti.

3. Informational city tour for representatives of tourism sector of twin towns and partners. The delegates from Germany, China, Italy visited the production lins of AVTOVAZ, Museum of technical exhibits named after K. Sakharov, Togliatti museum, Orthodox gymnasium and the Orthodox Institute.

4. Sightseeing bus-tour around Togliatti. The bus-tour was attended by more than 600 tourists, including more than 80 guests from other Russian regions and foreign countries.

5. Radio excursions, which is a cycle of audioguides about the city history on the radiostation "Echo of Moscow". Currently the audioguide is used at some of municipal transport routes.
