48th Zhiguli Circumnavigation named after Y. Maslov. Historical route. |
Race on Zhiguli Circumnavigation route is a kind of creative festival with music, dance and drama shows, and sport competitions. The participants of the event are the teams (12-13 persons), challenging on rowing-boats called yals. The trip lasts 10 days, and everyone take part in it, regardless of the age and camping skills. The Zhiguli circumnavigation symbolizes a well-forgotten romanticism of wild tourism: beautiful nature, overcoming of personal challenges, new acquaintances, and night sessions around the campfire. |
